So due to pandemic, we're trying to shift our wholesale business to online. We've never really did online business because we didn't want wholesale customers to think we're stealing their retail business.
I know that in order to have b2b function, I need to pay the subscription monthly to enable the function. So I have the following questions:
Sorry being a rookie. Thanks for helping during pandemic.
Hi @m3tpe! I will do my best to answer your questions below:
1: This is possible, but you would need to have a hidden page with a separate item list for your wholesale customers. The main trouble you will have for this will be keeping track of inventory because separate items cannot share inventory, but at the same time a single item cannot have two separate prices.
2: You can create a discount under Coupons and only share that coupon code with your wholesales sellers.
3: That is currently a feature request.
4: This will also be a feature request.
5: Tax would not be automatically removed for certain sellers, but you can mark a specific item as tax exempt in the online store. This would lead more into having two separate items - one for retail sale and one for wholesale.
6: Square will automatically charge the customer's order.
Let me know if you have any other questions! I tried to answer briefly so it was easier to read, but I can always elaborate more if you have follow up thoughts. Thank you!
Hi @AshleyK
Thanks for your help.
So you mentioned that if I upgrade Square/Weebly subscription.. I can lock pages. How does that work? Does that mean the customer that visits the website needs to enter a specific password? Or as long as they have an online account with us they can see the page? I much rather have the latter since most customers won't remember the pw. If the latter, I'm guessing the site admin cannot grant access to specific accounts?
@m3tpe If they enter the password then it should keep them logged in/having access to that page unless they clear the cache or quit their browser. There isn't a way to grant page access to a specific customer, but hopefully this means you won't have to give out the password quite as much.
Let me know if you have any other questions. 🙂
