Automatically Remove Out of Stock Items from Website

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: Automatically have out of stock items removed from website

Hi!

I am trying to figure out how to set my website to automatically set an item hidden when it goes out of stock? I have tried everything. I'd like to have it set to hidden once an item is out of stock without having to go in and mark each one individually. It's daunting and would be easier if it just does it for me automatically.

Thanks!

Hi there @sscraftings  Currently, Square does not have the capability to change the website visibility of items based upon stock quantities.  If you have full inventory/stock management set up, and if your online store is showing things like “low stock” or “out of stock” messages, then that’s the best that it gets, for now.  The item, however, will still be displayed with the appropriate message.

This falls into the category that we call a “feature request.”  I think it is a good one and would definitely support it for those sellers who need it.  I can say that I’m not sure how widespread use of such a feature might be, though, since many (if not most) sellers still want out of stock items displayed, even if they can’t be ordered.  Still, if you want to try, head over to the Ideate Board and submit a feature request to the Square Online team.  They will review it and collect comments to gauge the appeal of this feature to the seller community as a whole and, hopefully, add it to a future product roadmap.

Hi @sscraftings, we appreciate you reaching out.

Thank you for your response, @TheRealChipA, as well!

Unfortunately, automatically taking down sold-out items from your site would not be an option at the moment. As @TheRealChipA mentioned, please feel free to post it as a Feature Request on Ideate. It is a great idea, so I can definitely see how some Seller's would benefit from this as well.

In the meantime, let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
