I’d like to request a feature that would be really helpful for small businesses like ours: automated email or text reminders for customers before their scheduled pickup time.
Right now, Square sends a confirmation email when an order is placed, which is helpful. However, many of our customers place orders weeks in advance, and by the time their pickup day arrives, they sometimes forget. As a small business, we don’t have the time or capacity to manually remind each customer.
Square Appointments already has reminder notifications, and in our view, a scheduled pickup is very similar to an appointment. Both require the customer to show up at a specific time. It would make a lot of sense to offer that same reminder feature for online pickup orders.
This addition would improve the customer experience and help us stay more organized without adding extra work.
