I would like to offer the oloyalty program to my customers, but unfortunately the fees for joining this far outweigh the benfits I would receive as I am in a rural location and dont have such a high turnover. I actually feel this should be included as a part my fees I already pay.

Square's processing fees cover the fees we incur when a payment is made, and also allow us to offer a point-of-sale app, tools to manage your sales, inventory and customer data, and an online store for free.
While Square Loyalty is one of our paid subscriptions, there is a free 30-day trial you can sign up for to see if it's the right fit for you. I understand that subscriptions can quickly add up for small businesses. You can find a list of other loyalty programmes that integrate with Square in our app marketplace here.

Thanks for writing back, I dont have an online store or an inventory, and theres no point accessing customer data if I cant use it. I doubt many cafes would have time to do so either, unfortunately paying an extra $40 on fees per month isn't the right fit for someone who has just spent their entire inheritance setting up a cafe. At the moment I use mail chimp who offer a free service for small business like myself, surely square could at least tailor a pricing structure based on income or customer database size rather than a one size fits all approach. only one of your other loyalty programmes offer anything without a charge.
