Verify domain with Google Search

Dear Community,

I have purchased domain name directly from Square for my online store. So who is my Domain Registrar? I can't see where I can check the normal hosting settings like GoDaddy or Wix provides.

At the moment I am trying to verify the domain ownership with Google Search Console to make sure my website can be found. The instruction is below as attached image.

How can I do that on Square?

The other questions is about additional domain name purchase. For example I have my store running on mydomainname.com.au. How can I purchase additional domain names like .com or com.sg, com.jp and all connect to the same Square store?

Thanks you

Hey @wangjueliang,

How long ago did you register the domain? I'm wondering it it was still taking time for the DNS changes/registration to apply? It usually takes 1-2 days.

In terms of registering multiple domains that all point to your online store, this can be done!

I'm copying across some steps originally posted on our Canadian Community, the same should apply for Australia:

Here's how to do it with two (or more) domains that were purchased through Weebly.

1. Set a Primary Domain First, choose a primary domain for your site. This is the domain you'll be publishing your website to. If it’s already assigned to the site, you're set and can move on to the next step. If not, go to the settings for your website and assign the domain to your site. You can also do this from the Domains Page. Just click on the domain name, then click Set Destination on the upper left and select “Assign to one of my Weebly sites”, then follow the prompts to choose your site.

2. Forward Additional Domains You can now forward additional domains to your website. For example, mysite.net and mysite.org will take visitors to your primary domain, mysite.com.

On the Domains Page, click on the domain you want to forward to open the management options, then click Set Destination on the upper left.

Select “Assign to one of my Weebly sites” again, and click on the website that is set up with your primary domain. You’ll be given the choice to change the primary domain or to have this domain forward to the existing primary domain. Pick the option to forward traffic to the existing domain and save your changes.

If you have additional domains you want to forward, simply follow the steps in part two above!

Hope this helps, let me know how you go!

Thank you for the quick response!

Sorry but where is this Domain setting? I couldn't locate it from my Square portal.

Cheers,

@wangjueliang From your main Square dashboard you want to click "Online" to go to the Square Online dashboard.

From here, in the top right corner click the drop down menu (it should be titled with you name or business name) and select "Domain".

From your Domains page, you should be able to select "Register" to register a new domain!
