Order Limit for Event Item Type

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know if there’s a way to limit the number of event-type items (tickets) that can be purchased in a single transaction? I remember being able to set this limit with Square about a year ago, but I can’t find the setting anymore.

This feature would be really useful because Square only allows one order form per transaction. So, if someone wants to buy two tickets, it’s tricky to gather all the necessary details from them. An order quantity limit would help solve this issue.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Setting quantity limits for online orders is a feature available through the Square Online Plus plan. To access this option for ticket purchases, you'll need to upgrade from the free plan. You'll then see the option to limit item quantities per order.

I can confirm that I do indeed have the Square Online Plus Plan, however whenever I still cannot find the "limit item quantities per order" option when I have created an Event Item.

Any further help would be appreciated.

@SOJI Can you try these steps on your end and let me know if you find the option?

1. Go to your Square Dashboard → Navigate to Item Library.

2. Select your Event item from the list.

3. Scroll down to the "Ordering" section on the Edit Item page.

4. Look for the "Set quantity limits for online orders" option.
