I have followed SquareUps info to set up a multi buy discount (I want to create buy 2 get 1 free). So I have set up 'When customer purchases any 2 items from.. my list' It then states to add 100% discount to the item that is to be free on the ' 1 additional item of equal or lesser value from'.
However, when I do this it applies 100% discount across all 3 items leaving the cost to be paid at nil value.
Note: If you’d like to set up a buy one, get one free discount, just make sure to set the discount percentage amount to 100%.
- Visit Items > Discounts in your online Square Dashboard.
- Click Create a Discount and add a name and discount amount.Note: If you’d like to set up a buy one, get one free discount, just make sure to set the discount percentage amount to 100%.
- Toggle on Auto Apply to Items and Categories.
- Click Quantity.
- Add the required quantity and select the items or categories you want to include.
- Next set your Discount Rule. You’ll have three options for setting up your quantity discount:
- Exact Purchase Quantity
- Minimum Purchase Quantity
- Buy One, Get One
- Select exact or minimum quantity and save the discount. If you selected Buy One, Get One, specify the quantity and items the buyer will receive at a discount and then click Save.
You can update an existing discount at any time by clicking Edit Purchase Rule from the discount details page.
