Hello,

I am looking for insights on how I can get an XML file on my square site to list product details for google merchant center.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hello, @JTPets

Are you wanting to take your domain and add "/sitemap.xml" to the end of it to access the sitemap or would you like to create an XML file for your products?

We will be on the lookout for your response. We appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you for clarifying what you need for us @JTPets

While we don’t have any specific training or details on XML files I was able to obtain some insight from the internet.  To create an XML file for your products, you can follow these steps (again we can’t confirm this will work as we don’t specialize in this):

Export Product Data from Square:

  • Log in to your Square account and go to the "Items" section.
  • Export your product data in CSV format.
  • Use spreadsheet software to organize the data and save it as a CSV file.

Convert CSV to XML:

  • There are online tools and software available that can convert CSV files to XML format. Simply upload your CSV file and convert it to XML.

XML Formatting:

  • Ensure that your XML file follows the specific format required by Google Merchant Center. You'll need to include product details such as title, description, price, availability, and link to the product page on your Square site.

Submit Your XML Feed to Google Merchant Center:

  • Log in to your Google Merchant Center account.
  • Go to "Products" and then "Feeds."
  • Create a new feed and upload your XML file.
  • Google Merchant Center will review your feed, and if everything is formatted correctly, your products will be listed.

Remember, Google's requirements for the XML file might change, so it's always a good idea to check their official documentation for the most current specifications.

We hope that other Square Sellers reply to provide more insight. If you try the steps above and they happen to work, let us know. Thank you.

If your looking to add your product into Google Shopping via Google Merchant Center, I believe this is available in USA Square. Currently not in Canada.

I'm trying to add products to Google merchant center for ads on Google. Google search has only indexed a few of the items, while Google business is integrated and has my entire catalog. Seems like a gap in bridging the two

Have you tried using Pointy? it auto syncs your products.
