How to change the location my Online store is synced with?

The title of this thread has been edited from the original: Sales go into inactive location

 

I have 2 locations set up on my square online store. One of them is a "test" location and I marked it as inactive. This is also the first location I've ever created.

 

For some reason, all sales go into this inactive location. I checked on the report section and I don't see any money collected under the active one. It's very weird. How do I stop this or to remove the inactive location?

Hey @DeCorn. You'll need to switch the synced location from your Online Store Dashboard:

 

Settings > Square Sync (near the bottom)> click the Settings tab on next page > click  Change Location right below in blue text.

Hey there - I'm having the same issue. I tried this solution, and even though in Weebly it is showing that my Online Store is synced with the correct "location", in my Square mobile app the sales are still reporting under the old location. Any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

Hi there, @gnomecones 👋 Thanks for reaching out here and letting us know. So sorry for the trouble!

 

Can you confirm that your Point of Sale software is currently up to date? It also might be worth uninstalling the application and re-installing to ensure this process is manually initiated.

 

If those steps don't work, we would recommend flagging this over to our Support Team. They can take a deeper dive with your directly on this issue.

I am also having this issue, only there isn't an option in my online store dashboard called store sync.

Hey @denisemayree,

 

I took a further look into this, it's possible these options have changed since the original post - you can edit location information for your online store based on fulfillment method now. So you can sync a different (or the same) location to your website based on the type of fulfillment (shipping, pickup and delivery, self serve).

 

From your Square Online Overview go to Fulfilment then click on each option under here to make location changes:
