I can filter out my orders by status, using filters such as "pending, shipped, paid, ready, open, canceled, refunded, open, etc, etc" But for the life of me, I can't understand why I am unable to pull up just the orders that I haven't completed yet.
To me that would be the first thing, as a business, that I want to see..."which orders do I need to fulfill yet?". Nope, I have to manually go through all my orders, page by page, to see if I've forgotten to complete or fulfill any orders.
Has anyone figured a work-around to this seemingly simple problem?
Hello there @dwatling
When you say non-completed do you mean orders not yet shipped or not yet picked up? I'm trying to understand the current state of "non-completed" to point you in the right direction here.
The order is for a digital item. The item has been paid for, but the digital file has yet to be sent to the customer. Once it's sent, then the order is "complete". Until then, it's just "paid". There is no way to filter out just the orders that still need to be completed
.
I see @dwatling So what you're saying is that the Paid vs Completed filtering isn't working for you?
Well, the filters are working, it's just that Square does not have a filter to show ONLY "incomplete" orders. If I use the "Paid" filter, it shows both complete and incomplete orders (because they're both paid for). When I use the "complete" filter, then it only shows the orders that have been completed. I want to see ONLY the orders that are "incomplete". There is no filter for that. I spent an hour with tech support and they basically said "No, we don't have that function". Which, to me, seems asinine. As a business, I want to be able to see what orders I still need to fill yet. There are TEN different filters for orders...you think they could have made ONE for "incomplete" orders?!!
I definitely see your point @dwatling. At this time, my best advice is to submit a Feature Request here. This will help our product team get visibility and track other Sellers with similar interest in your request.
Important: When submitting a request, make sure to include the desired feature, and provide the details of how this feature will help your business succeed (how would you use it and what you expect from it).
I did that when I was speaking with the online tech support person. They put it into the Feature Request. I was hoping someone in the community might have figured a work-around to this problem.
But I am truly baffled why such a huge company like Square, with tens of thousands of businesses using their system, and yet this isn't a feature already in use. How much simpler could it be? There are only a few different status fields in from an order. They have TEN different filters already, with a few, as far as I can tell, that are completely redundant, but they don't have the one that would seem to be the most obvious. To be able to show me what orders I need to fill!
I love Square...it has made my business SO much more smooth and customer friendly, but I also hate that their website's back-end is not very user-friendly at all.
I can agree with you @dwatling
Since we acquired Weebly and developed Square Online we have made huge improvements but we there is plenty of room for improvements to make our platform the "one size fits all business needs" offering. I thank you so much for sticking with us while we grow and better our eCommerce offering.
