Can't add a new TXT to DNS records

Hi, so I've been trying to verify my domain (hosted by square) to google workspace so I can have the custom email (which I also set up through square).

 

I've followed the troubleshoot information; 

  1. In your Square Dashboard, go to Sales channels > Online > Website > Domains.
  2. For the domain related to your email address, select Manage > Manage domain.
  3. For DNS Records, select Add DNS record.
  4. For Type, choose TXT.
  5. For Host, enter an at sign (@) in the field.
  6. For Points to, paste the Google Verification meta tag you saved earlier.
  7. Select Save.
  8. Go back to the Google Verification browser tab and select the button to finish verifying your domain.

but once I go back to the google verification browser tab and verify that i have updated the DNS records, it says that it couldn't be verified. I also noticed that it says it may take 48 hours for the code to be shared to the rest of the internet, I have waited 48 hours and still unable to verify it. Is this the correct information I'm meant to be adding? Just really confused at what I'm doing wrong?

 

Has anyone else experienced trouble with verifying your domain to google workspace? and what did you do to solve this? Anything helps! Thanks!

Please go ahead and attempt to verify your TXT records in Google Merchant Centre again.

In the meantime, can you please share a screenshot of the error message you’re receiving in Google Workspace about the TXT records not verifying?
