Call Forwarding Feature for Square Phone Numbers

Hello everyone,

I've been using Square's services for a while and recently encountered a challenge with managing calls. I noticed that calls to my Square-provided number often go to voicemail, and I would love the option to forward these calls directly to my cell phone instead.

I believe a call forwarding feature would be incredibly beneficial for those of us who need to stay connected with our customers on the go. It would enhance our ability to provide timely responses and improve overall customer service.

I'm curious if anyone else feels the same way or has found a workaround for this issue. Would you find a call forwarding feature useful? Any thoughts or additional suggestions?

I totally agree. I love that all of the texts messages go to the Square App, but redirecting any voice call to another phone number would be ideal. Also being able to use the app to call outbound using the square number would be ideal as well... Google voice has this feature.

An alternative would be to partner with a bandwidth.com or something and have them just forward the text messages to Square and allow them to manage the voice calling.

This would be a beneficial feature for clients that primarily communicate via square texting, but have a question that requires a phone conversation. Not everyone wants to look up an additional number or think about the fact that the texts are not coming directly from the business main line. 

Has this issue been resolved? Is there a way to forward a square number to another number? 
We just signed up for square messaging so we aren’t inundated with personal texts, and now people are calling the square number instead of our front desk number and it’s becoming confusing for our guests. 
We just want to be able to text our guests from square and have all calls come to our front desk. 

 

This has not been resolved! Hopefully soon.
