Loyalty Tier Advancement: Lifetime Points or Current Balance?

In a point based Loyalty program with tiers, do customers advance to the next tier based on lifetime points accumulated or how many they have in the moment?

e.g. $1 = 1 point.

The first reward is a free sticker at 25 points.

The 2nd tier is unlocked at 100 points.

I spend $99 dollars.

I redeem my free sticker reward.

I spend $1.

I have a 75 point balance.

I've earned 100 lifetime points.

Have I unlocked tier 2 or no?

Hey @dylrich20.  Customers move between loyalty tiers based upon lifetime points that have been earned over the lookback period, which is currently the past 12 months (calendar year).  So, based upon the “facts” that you laid out, tier two should have been reached and awarded.  You can always check by going into your Customer Directly and finding your customer, then reviewing their information there.  There is a loyalty section that includes tiers and other loyalty facts.  At this time, that must be done from your dashboard and this information is not available via the customer export CSV.
