I'm at 71% and usually see a offer by now (between 65%-70&).

I'm where you are at (minus the actual loan offer part.) Sale are up about 60% over a year ago and processing is up about 65%. All the other things are in the green.
I think most people's frustrations are that it's just not transparent and there isn't a clear goal to strive for. It is also disheartening to just be told the same quotes over and over. It comes across as uncaring and impersonal. Which if that's the case is fine, that should be conveyed to clear up misconceptions and so people don't get their hopes up. It would also come across as more professional to state those things (economy and such) from Square itself. It would let people know where they stand and can make appropriate decisions.
I don’t know why I even check it any more. I guess partly in habit. Mostly I think it's a confidence thing. If offers aren’t coming I feel as if I need to improve but Square doesn’t inform me on what that is exactly. My customers are great they leave me positive feedback daily so that helps.
I understand your point and it is a good one - we sell quite a bit on eBay and they have this new SELLER LEVEL program that basically allows them to charge you MORE for sales if you are “below” they will not let you please a case etc - it just comes down to them punishing sellers - just like all these “tech” companies do - they all need to recognize how much sellers mean to their existence - the arrogant attitude jus really keeps me coming back - feeling like somehow I might be able to change that attitude some way, but guess it is just wasted energy / they will just do as they please regardless of how it affects their benefactors
I have been relentless with this suspicious “account activity” that showed up randomly because it is bothering me. I finally got somewhat of an answer after being blown off several times. This is the response I got from square this morning after I bugged them several times to quit and look at my screen shots and quit assuming I’m only messaging for a loan.
“We are aware of the issue and it is happening because we are making some updates to the Eligibility page, and it will be fixed in the coming weeks.”
now as vague as this message is, after being told six separate times my eligibility page is current real time up to date, this is somewhat a relief!
let’s hope they are overhauling and our offers start being great again.
Hello
They have not told me anything regarding the "account activity" Needs work deal either but they did send me this - which shows me tey are looking at all accounts differently I guess - funny think is I have had 2 250k loans and never had any problems with them as far as paying back etc... that "your business is not eligible for square loans" is vauge - etc
Thank you for reaching back out!
We appreciate your interest in Square Loans, but unfortunately, your business is not eligible for Square Loans.
There’s no additional information we can provide at this time. We can’t go into specifics about program requirements because the criteria we use is proprietary. If your status changes, you’ll get an invitation email and see your offer there.
Let us know if you have any other questions!
All the best,
Sammie C.
The Square Loans Team
I was relentless last week bc none of that makes sense to me. One can’t be good and the other randomly needs work shows up out of literally nowhere during an outage.
I got one gal who stayed on the phone with me for over an hour while reaching out to them. She assigned me a case number. I called in twice yesterday after the supervisor kind of blew me off last week. Talked to the same kid. He was very robotic at first but the second time I called I actually reached the same agent and I made him look into my case number and I sent him real time screen shots and he got very quiet and then finally realized what it was trying to point out. Then this morning I got an email from the supervisor I was messaging last week and that they are aware of the issue. I wanted to reach through the screen and shake him like see I told you something was up. It’s like they have no idea and are so trained to give us robotic pre printed responses, they couldn’t get past that mental block. I’m optimistic maybe now we will have some answers.
Hello - just wanted to tell you that my ACCOUNT ACTIVITY that did say NEEDS WORK now says GOOD - I am still convinced there is NO loans being given by Square - they are laying off so many people and I think he is in major Cash crunch -
How do you know about a layoff ?
Most big companies you hear daily or Google if such and such company is laying off. A lot right now are laying off middle management personnel and/or cutting back. Myself, I did not see anything about square but I didn't look it up either. Some see office layoffs but that doesn't always represent the move from a building to at home workers. The term "employees" to personnel is different apparently. I know I was one a few weeks back that got caught up in the deposit delay and I called and honestly I got the nicest gentleman I could have who helped me bypass my 5pm deposit to manually and that didn't work so we went to the 8pm deposit and boom it worked. He spent over an hour and I could tell he was working from home the dog barked and I could lightly hear kids and that was fine with me it was his attention and was not getting off that phone till I had my money. He was absolutely the best! Many companies are down sizing and or working from home to cut cost. If that's the case hopefully we can see benefits from it. I see you so often and wish you the best! I've seen you in Super sellers too. That might be the best spot to ask privately.
To be fair many companies implemented that since lockdown. Makes perfect business sense to cut costs, doesn't necessarily mean Square have been losing money
I got a loan yesterday finally praise the lord! $31,400
Hey...congratulations....Send some of that good mojo my way. Sitting at 76% and hoping for a miracle soon.
I will! I promise it’s coming. I had been obsessing over it ever since I hit 60% and I finally got up to I think I was 64% yesterday and I took a payment in the morning but I hadn’t looked at my offers then I finally looked and I couldn’t see my eligibility screen where it says everything is good or needs work and I see the bell at the bottom with the blue notification and I was ohhhh crap it’s here and I look and bad I called my husband and he’s like take it! We own a garage door business and need to stock up on supplies and I needed a new Mac badly! It will come just keep taking payments.
Thank you! I'm ok right now and I choose to take them if needed. I just like when people post they received one and what % it helps others keep hope or know to keep on the lookout! My loan a few back went to new office supplies as well! Laptop and printer both went in a few weeks and boom an offer came in and I jumped on it! I'm glad it came at the right time for you as well! Here's to a great year!
I got an offer yesterday about the time my eligibility normally updates around 4pmEST. This is my 4th loan. Approval time has been anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours. It’s the next day and I’m worried. My account is in good standing. No chargebacks or disputes and maybe 3 returns in the last 2 years. I’m extremely grateful for the offer, and don’t mean to sound impatient. My concern is why it’s taking longer than normal and should I be worried? Any insight?
My offer was late Saturday and I was approved Monday around noon and money hit Tuesday. I have had offers before on the weekends and didn't any movement till Monday. During the week it's usually within 30 minutes and deposit hit that night or the next. I would say you're absolutely fine. I see more and that are taking that 1-3 days it states. Others fly right through. I just try to follow the trend for the majority is all.
Thank you. That makes me feel a little better. I’ve never gotten an offer mid week before, it’s always been a Thursday or a Saturday, so I thought maybe mid week was busier. It was late afternoon, so that maybe why also. Who knows? I’ll remain patient and “try” not to keep checking my email. Lol
You can ring Square Loans and see if they need any extra info etc. I had a delay of a few days and when I rang up they wanted to clarify a few details. Usually fairly quick from there, approved in an hour.
So, my account was put under review. I had to answer a few questions about a few transactions and upload a recent invoice, and I just got the text/email that my account was all clear and good to go. I wonder how long it’ll take for me to get a decision on the loan. If it’s denied I’d rather know now, then have to keep guessing. 😭
SAME FOR ME TODAY - HAVEING A REALLY GOOD MINTH AND NOW THEY SAY MY ACCOUNT IS "LIMITED" - BECUASE 1 CUSTOMER BOUTH TOO MUCH PRODUCT - BUT I HAVE DOCS PROVING BASICALLY CUSTOMR CANNOT DISPUTE - FACE IT SQUARE LOAND DOES NOT EXIST AND THEY (SQUARE LOANS TEAM) ARE PLAYING BEASIC GAMES TO REVENT NEW LOANS - I DO NOT BELIEVE FOR A MOMENT THAT THESE PEOPLE "SELLERS" ARE ACTUALL SELLERS BUT RATHER BOT PUT UP BY SQUARE LOANS TEAM - US PAST ACTUAL CUTOMERS ARE ENDURURING ALL THESE DAILY GAMES TO PREVENT US FROM LOANS GOING ON 2 MONTHS NOW FOR ME - WHAT SAY YOU SQUARE LAONS TEAM? WANT TO GET TRANSPARENT AND LET US ALL KNOWTHE TRUTH?? WE DESERVE IT
Dude. Square is still loaning. I wish you would get off this forum complaining and giving every other seller a false hope of loans. There is nothing we can do other than process payments to get noticed and approved. I just got a 100k offer last week. Ive been following this thread for a while(actively looking for loans) and all you do is complain and threaten to leave. My advice is listen to yourself and find another processor and stop all the senseless posts. Good luck to you and cheers🍷
Thank you for your message - I’m asking you to look deeper at my posts tho please - point is we have had a business “relationship” with Square for 10 years - now all of a sudden Square is CHANGING this relationship, yet not offering ANY explanation as to why whatsoever- can I go to Clover tomorrow yes - I already have a stripe account that Godaddy MADE is use to have an online store (which due to technical nature of our products - we usually process on Square because sale does not go “online” again aI value business partnerships and the way square is handling this since 23 and they are failing many other ventures - I believe it is incumbent upon them to just come out and make a statement “due to various business climate issues facing Square block or whatever, we have cut back the loan program to lower limits and lower offerings” no instead they use sellers like you and bots to make all appear to be same and throw you into confusion. I’d bulfon not take leaving to Stripe or Clover lightly when my former business partner will loose $70,300 in revenue the minute I switch - so thank you again for your input but that is my answer - they need to answer our questions honestly not with some hidden agenda
