If you’re using the invoices app, after you add the items, you’ll notice that the Tax line is blue at the bottom. Just click on that and remove sales taxes.
From the dashboard, it’s a little more involved. As you add each item, you have to scroll to the bottom and uncheck the sales tax line(s). Or if you add one and forget, click the Customize button for that item and scroll down and uncheck the tax line.
One more thing… there have been a few feature requests to be able to turn off sales tax at the invoice level, rather than for each line. You might want to go here and Like/Upvote this one to show you are interested in seeing this as well.
