Where did my money go?

I made a transaction and at first I could see the money in my available balance, I tried to transfer out, but it said my bank needed entered AGAIN and verified AGAIN( it already successfully verified once, then it sent another email saying verification failed when I hadn’t even used it, and then made me enter my details again and try to verify another time). So, in the meantime, I made a square checking account. When I did so, my account balance disappeared. It no longer shows my money in the available balance, though, in transactions I can still see the transaction occurred. I’ve clicked everything I could find on the app searching for where my money went and cannot find it. What do I do?

First @Maggieehart17 thanks for being a Square Community member, we're glad you here with fellow Square users. We're just a bunch of like minded business owners trying to help each other out; thanks for your patience.

 

I'm guessing you've just signed up for a Square account? If that is the case Square does need to verify a bunch of information and even opening a Square Checking account, there is verification that needs to occur (the Square Checking account doesn't circumvent that process.)

 

You can check your verification status from the Setup Guide in your Square Dashboard. There is also a banking tab on the side of your Square Online Dashboard. That should show your checking account and balance. If your balance doesn't show up here it's probably because the verification has completed.

You can also contact Customer Service. From your desktop computer:

 

  1. Go to the Square Support Centre and select Sign In.
  2. Enter your account email and password.
  3. Click Contact us under Still need help?, and click Message Us to start a chat.

I hope you're able to get resolution for this issue soon. As a fellow business owner and Square user I know how frustrating it can be to not have access to your funds. As a precaution, I would not continue to accept any payments through your Square account until this has resolved.
