Today is the 6th business day and my check still hasn’t cleared

I’ve never deposited a check before but I had to close my regular bank account and have not opened a new one yet. When I received my tax refund check from Intuit, I mobile deposited it through my square app. It’s now the 6th business day and the check has still not cleared. In the same chat with support, the automated response programming gave me two different sets of business hours to be able to chat with an agent. I also can’t find an option to cancel the deposit to take the check elsewhere. What can I do?

Hi @Mm1987

Sorry to hear about your troubles with The mobile deposit feature.  I don't use that but Ryan has shared some good information here in this thread.  Being that this s your first deposit , t will most likely take one more full business day .

You can call Square here 1-855-700-6000 , but I'm not sure if they will be able to cancel that deposit being this far in, but they should be able to give you more accurate answers based off from your account.

Hi @Mm1987.  To answer your questions….

Square Phone Support’s regular hours are Monday through Friday 6am-6pm PT.  Otherwise, once a check deposit has been initiated through the national ACH system, it can not be cancelled.  This is because Square has submitted the clearing process and it is now in the hands of the banking system.

I am concerned, though.  Are you saying that you deposited a personal check (one made out to you and NOT to your business) into your business account?  If so, that might be a very good reason this is taking longer since it is not a typical business practice.
