Why is my bank verification taking too long
Good Morning @FingersToes- I see this is your first post, Welcome!
I know access to your funds is important, and I'm sorry to hear you're having some trouble with your bank account. If it has been longer than four business days you will need to contact support so we can investigate this further. For your account security, we cannot provide any information here. For more details on what could be causing this delay please see below:
-Bank Account Type is not supported: Square doesn’t support non-transactional bank accounts – they don’t allow money to be debited. Square must be able to credit and debit money from your account, in the event of a chargeback or refund. Keep in mind that Prepaid cards are not supported.
-Typo in Bank Account number: Typos in your routing or account number can cause the manual bank verification process to fail. Double check your account information and carefully re-enter it. You may need to contact your bank to confirm your routing and account numbers.
To avoid this, you can instantly link your bank account via Plaid through your online Square Dashboard. Plaid allows you to quickly and securely connect your bank account without the need for manual verification, which can take up to four business days to complete.
-Incorrect Account number: Credit Unions often use an electronic account number for transfers from Square (ACH transactions), which can be different than the account number on your checks. If manually verifying your bank account, confirm that you’re using the correct account number to link your bank account to Square.
-Insufficient Funds: To manually verify your bank account, Square will transfer and withdraw a small amount. Sometimes this transfer and withdrawal may process simultaneously, so you’ll need at least $1.00 in your bank account before you begin the verification process. If your verification has failed due to insufficient funds, make sure you have at least $1.00 in your account and re-enter your account information.
-Bank Verification Canceled: If you click Cancel Verification after entering your bank account information, the manual verification process will be canceled. To restart the verification process, you’ll need to re-enter your bank account information. It’s recommended to instantly link your bank account with Plaid, if possible.
-ACH Number/Origin ID: Some banks may request Square’s ACH number or origin IDs to link your bank account to Square. If your bank asks for this information, provide them with the following:

HI @FingersToes
How long has it been since you started verification? Over 4-5 days now? What bank do you use for transfers?
