Can My Business Collect ACH Payments?

The title of this thread has been edited by a Square Moderator from the original: need to collect non-profit member dues via ACH, don't see that method available in Square setup

Hoping this solution will work.

Want to embed ACH payment of dues into our web-site, but the Square setup seems to assume you will be using a POS device and I have found no way to define ACH as a payment method and see no examples of embed code.

Any pointers much appreciated

Hello @ogf1000 ! Welcome to the seller community!

At this time, Square's Online stores do not support ACH as a payment type. I'd recommend heading over to the Ideate section of this website to submit this as a feature request. That said, as long as you have a linked bank account you can accept cards directly from the website and the funds (less processing fees) will be in your account usually within a day.

For now, if you want to stick with solely ACH payments, your better bet would be to create invoices for your member dues. You can set ACH as a payment type this way. You don't need any dedicated hardware or software on a tablet or phone to do this. Just log in to your dashboard and navigate to the Invoices section to set those up. Once you create the invoice, you can enable the option of payment via credit card or ACH.

Hope this helps!

Thank you for chiming in on this, @ryanwanner! These are great workarounds.

@ogf1000, Ideate is a great place to post new ideas or improvements to Square products. If you end up making a post on there, feel free to post back here with a link to that post so other sellers can see your post as well.

In the meantime, please let us know if you end up having any questions or concerns!
