Subscription Renewal
Hi! I wonder if anyone could assist me in figuring out the renewal part of my subscriptions. I currently use subscriptions for a 5 month billing period for my clients that is charged on the first of the month. I read on square's website that it would auto renew but seemed to not happen once the 5 billing periods is up. I only started using subscriptions 6 months ago so this is my first renewal period and was wondering if it did indeed automatically renew on it's own or if I had to make a whole new subscription for the client.

Hi @christiema - We use subscriptions for monthly billings but ours are set to continue until the customer cancels their membership with us - we do split some payments into a quarterly option for a few customers who want to pay the annual membership to save $ but can't pay the full total all at once. We do have to enter a new subscription for them once their 4 payments are processed by Square, so I do think you would have to make a new subscription once your customer commits to the 5 month billing again (if I am understanding the above correctly). Sorry I just saw this today - and you may have already figured out the answer you needed. Subscriptions have been really helpful for us to be using under the same payment umbrella as our day to day operations.
