Resources View for Appointments & Assigning Multiple Staff to one Appointment for Tip Pooling
We need Resources View for our Auto Service business. We need to be able to see which one of our workspaces are booked at any given time. We were previously booking 1-job per staff member which put us in the place where we had more work than we could physically manage due to limited workstations--so now some staff work in teams of 2-3 per job and we hope the resources feature will help to make sure that our workspaces are allocated appropriately so we can improve schedule utilization. The only issue is I cannot figure out how to view the appointments schedule in a "Resources" view. Is it possible?
We also have an issue of not being able to assign multiple staff to one appointment to help with tip allocation. Our issue is some staff still work solo, while the others described above work in groups. Tip pooling would be unfair to the staff that work solo. We need another solution. Please help!

Right now, Square Appointments doesn’t have a dedicated "Resources View", but here are a few ways you can work around it:
✅ Use Staff as Workspaces – Instead of assigning jobs to individual staff members, create "staff profiles" that represent each workspace or bay (e.g., "Bay 1," "Bay 2"). Then, schedule appointments under these "staff" profiles to see availability by workspace.
✅ Use Appointment Categories & Notes – You can color-code jobs by team size or workspace in Square Appointments to make it easier to see scheduling at a glance.
✅ Try Google Calendar Sync – If you sync Square with Google Calendar, you can create a separate calendar per workspace and have all bookings show up in a single view.

2. Assigning Multiple Staff to One Appointment (Tip Allocation)
Right now, Square only allows one assigned staff member per appointment, which makes tip allocation tricky when teams work together. Here are a few options:
✅ Manually Split Tips at Checkout – At the end of the job, you can manually divide the tip between staff members in Square POS by creating a custom tip split.
✅ Create "Team Appointments" as Variations – You could set up a separate service variation for team-based jobs (e.g., "Full Repair – Team of 3") and assign a default tip-sharing percentage outside Square.
✅ Track Tips Separately in Reports – If you process payments through Square but handle tip payouts manually, you could track tip distribution in an external spreadsheet to ensure fairness.
Since your team structure varies, tip pooling wouldn’t be ideal, so I’d definitely encourage Square to add a feature that allows assigning multiple staff to one job! You can also upvote similar requests in the Feature Requests Forum.
