wow...thanks for this update. I think I've actually been looking over this and just still choosing "none" not reading all the way through. Oh yes...we need the old way.
Square, you changed something that didn't need to be changed!
When an appointment is edited and the "send notification" type is selected as "none", the client no longer gets their Confirmation notification. Previously, as in a very short time ago but not sure exactly, one could edit an appointment and select no notification but the client still received communications related to that appointment.
We need to be able to edit appointments and NOT have communications sent and not have it connected to clients getting their confirmation communications. Sometimes an edit is just a small adjustment in time and no need to alert the client.
@Kassi_ my post is not a feature request. Previously, I was able to adjust the time or length of time on an appointment and select that I DID NOT want to send the client a communication about this edit. Sometimes it’s just a minor edit that the client doesn’t need to be bombarded with additional communications. Now, if I select that I do not want communications sent, NO COMMUNICATIONS AT ALL are sent regarding this appointment, to include the very important CONFIRMATION communication. Things worked fine, then there was a change that many of us Appointments users are not happy about. So please get it fixed back.
@LusterSalon@Stacelyn24 have you all heard from clients that they aren’t receiving other messages. I am able to change appointments, choose not to send an update to our clients, and they still receive the confirmation texts when it’s time to send them.
@essentialnails are you sure about that? When you select “none” there is a shaded portion that comes up and specifically says the client will not get confirmation communications. See the above post with the screen shot.
@LusterSalon I can confirm that confirmations are still sent as usual. Just tested it by making a profile for myself and booked an appt yesterday night for Friday at 10am, then changed it and chose to send without notification. I got the no notification warning (same as the screenshot posted with OG request) and got the confirmation request at 10am this morning (we send out confirmation texts 48hrs ahead).
Thanks for that. I'll make a profile for myself and test it. Hate to have to send out unnecessary texts to our clients only when I'm updating their appointment...not necessarily canceling or rescheduling 🙂
