No-Show Fee doesn’t automatically charge

I have set up card on file required for booking and turned on the cancellation fee in my services. I had a client no-show so I clicked on No-Show expecting the card on file to be charged automatically for the fee. But it didn’t charge the card, it just closed the appointment and deleted from my calendar. I read the other thread on this and it wasn’t helpful. I never had any pop up boxes asking me to do anything in regards to charging for a fee. Also when I set up appointments I never see the option to click on “payment” and toggle for no-show as the tutorial says should be there. I need to know how to charge the card on file when someone doesn’t show for their appointment or cancels less than 24 hour notice. And how to do it once that appointment has been marked no-show, now there is no option to run a payment for this.
