New price on future booked appointments

2025 was met with a price increase in my business- how do I update my recurring appointments or will the price automatically change?

Hello @pefrfectpedicru.  I did a little research as well as set up a test recurring invoice to see how this worked currently.  Here’s what I found.

If you change the price of any item or service that is listed on a recurring invoice series, the prices in that series do not automatically change.  This means that you must edit each recurring invoice series and manually update them.  This entails deleting the old line items and adding new ones with the correct prices.  Also, unfortunately, there is currently no bulk update option available at this time.

Honestly, this is a perfect candidate for a feature request.  So I would recommend that you head to the Ideate Board and submit one to the Invoices team.  In your case — and in the case of most sellers I believe — I’d request that Square give you the ability to bulk-update recurring invoice series’ prices to the new prices in our item and services catalogs.  I don’t know why this doesn’t already exist, but the fact remains that it does not.

For now, your only option is to make time to manually edit each of your recurring invoice series.  Or, alternatively, it might be faster to end all of your current series and create new ones.  Either way, it is no small task so hopefully you don’t have a lot of recurring invoices to deal with.
