Make recurring class bookings

Make recurring class bookings

I have a recurring class schedule up. I need to be able to book clients into a recurring series of classes in one go. Currently I have to open each occurrence of the class and manually book them into each class.

E.g. client comes to 8.30am class for the next 6 months. I want to book them into a 6 month series of that class. Currently I have to manually add them into each class.

@hedawkins this is the same thing we are struggling to find an answer to. Have you had any response or solution as yet?

No response 🤯

I just signed up to square online and appointment only to find out that i cant book my clients into recurring classes? For me this is such a super basic feature of any bookign system, is this really not avaialble yet?

Agreed, this feature seems like a 'low hanging fruit'. Would be a huge time saver if I could book clients into a class; 'recurring-ly'. I only have 4-5 classes, but I can imagine with any more it would basically make this system unusable should I have to book people in every week.

I absolutely agree with every comment here! I was severely disappointed that this new feature (regardless of its “beta” status or not) lacks so many basic functionalities that are available for appointments but not classes. The only workaround I’ve found after making a post about this very issue was to schedule a limited number of reoccurring classes (I decided one month at a time, opening on the 15th of the previous month) instead of setting the class to repeat indefinitely, because there is also no way to restrict bookings within a certain time period the same way you can with only allowing appointments to be booked 30/60/90 days in advance, but that doesn’t solve the issue of me needing to manually register people indefinitely, especially because the remaining options are for me to manually register them or for them to need to pay in advance for every class they want to take forever because there isn’t the ability to take payment from a card on file after the late cancellation window closes and the client booking themselves online needs to pay immediately which either uses up one of the credits contained in their package immediately and restricts them to booking only that number of classes, or forces them to pay significantly more funds in advance than necessary. This whole feature implementation is incredible clunky, the only thing that works half correctly is it allows clients to cancel their class registrations more easily, but it still makes more work for me instead of less because it doesn’t provide any sort of notification when someone books or cancels a class either so there is no way of knowing how many customers are registered at one glance, I need to manually check every class in question, PLUS the classes don’t even sync with the Google Calendar export which means that the staff assigned to the class don’t have an easy way of knowing the class is in their schedule, which is what I would consider the most basic feature of a class scheduling software! I am incredibly frustrated that I updated my Square Subscriptions and got all of my clients switched to “Services” and “Appointments” that are only halfway functional only to find out after implementing the change and informing all of my clients about the new way of doing things that all of the basic features and functions that literally every appointment and class booking software offer in some capacity (especially at a paid tier) are not actually available or they barely work in a user-friendly way. I might as well have stayed manually tracking everything on paper for all of the help these features currently provide.
