Inaccurate sales reports on appointments

We have noticed that our reports on our appointment app and register are incorrect. If a receptionist checks out a client then the sale and tip does not go under the service providers sales and it says that the receptionist made that sale and tip. I tried to call square and was on the phone for over an hour with 4 different people but no one knew what I was talking about. Anyone else notice this?

Hi @BombshellBeautr

This is the way Square works. Sales are always attributed to the employee who closes the transaction. Period. Either your service providers need to close their own appointments, or your receptionist needs to sign in using the correct service providers code before they check out clients.

I’d recommend one of two two solutions. Set your POS to always request an employee code after every transaction. Then give your receptionist a list of provider codes so they can sign in “as” the correct provider and check the customer out.

Either that or have your service providers always handle their own transactions.

Those are the only options you have.

Yah, giving the code was my other idea. It’s just annoying because we had a receptionist about a year ago, and another one about 2 years ago and this was never a thing. Very frustrating considering our employees pretty much only use the app, and don’t use a computer to look at their dashboard.
