How Can I Ensure All Resources Are Blocked for Bundled Services in Square Appointments?

As a workaround for the lack of add-on prompts in Square Appointments, I created a bundled service that includes multiple sessions (e.g., Seaside Retreat = Halotherapy Sauna + Red Light Therapy). Each session has an assigned resource, but when a client books the bundled service, the system only blocks off one resource instead of both. This just led to a double booking. Is there a way to ensure all assigned resources are blocked when a bundled service is booked?

I checked in with Advanced Support, and they confirmed that this is a feature request. Right now, Square Appointments doesn’t automatically block multiple resources for bundled services. I recommend sharing this as feedback in our Ideate Board so it can be considered for future updates.

To better understand what’s happening, could you provide the exact steps you took when setting up and booking the bundled service?

 

Also, if you have an example appointment where this occurred, that would be helpful to review.

Sure! To set up the bundled service, I created a new service - "Aligned & Restored" and assigned the two 'team members' (which are really treatment rooms) and assigned 2 resources (which are the devices). It says that 1 of 2 resources will be assigned but I need both to be assigned so both calendars are blocked off. For my standalone services like Infrared Sauna - the resource Restore is booked. This bundled service would require both the Restore resource and the Recharge resource. 

 

I had an appointment booked yesterday where I then had to go in and manually book the individual sessions that were included in the bundle. I'm not sure how to share this / show this to you!
