Is there a way to send a confirmation manually? I see the option to "send again" but not to push one through initially

So when setting up an appointment initially, the customer/client should get an email/text stating that the appointment was accepted/confirmed.

Yep, you can set it up to be done automatically by Square under Appointments > Settings > Communications.

I find most folks prefer SMS/Texts over email. I set up the first one to send 2 weeks prior to their appt. and again 48 hours prior to their appointment since we allow cancellations up to 1 day before their appt. at no cost. All cancellations within 24 hours of the appointment time (including late shows or no-shows) are subject to our cancellation fee to cover the stylist’s time.

I wouldn't want to do confirmations manually since its a lot to keep up, but we do manually send a final Text reminder every morning with our address so our clients know exactly where to go or if we have to cancel due to being sick/weather. You can text your clients anytime with the Square Messaging add-on.
