Square for retail

Is “Square for retail” good for an online only business? Or more for brick and mortar? Thanks!

I'm only going off others' comments. I am a retail furniture store and do not offer shipping. I do online sales, but it's pickup or delivery. Pretty simple and straightforward. It works amazingly for my needs. Others had to use different types of platforms or add-ons to tweak it to fit their business. For the price, I love it, and so does my accounting team.! @VanKalkerFarms @TheRealChipA @ryanwanner I am sure you guys could help here better. Thank you!

Hi there - I have both a retail brick and mortar and online business and Square Retail has been great for us. I'm confident regardless of in-store or online you will find helpful tools within Square Retail re: your inventory tracking and managing your retail business- regardless of what channel you sell on.

I only use free Square, whatever is what they are calling it, and it handles everything I can throw at it.  We are only B&M with our garden center, but with our bakeries, we use Square for holiday pre-orders currently.  We don't use Square there as it is a franchise and has to use the garbage POS they are contracted with.

I really don't know what features are designed for online vs. in-person, but I would say start with whatever free offerings you have offered by Square, and when you run into a roadblock or a cool feature you want, then consider upgrading.
