New shop launched! Looking for critiques!

Hi, I am Ria! I launched bamboo tree co at the end of April 2023! I am very new here!

I would absolutely appreciate it if some of you could critique my website, instagram, TIKTOK, etc. I am not selling online as of yet but I have sold at markets. So please share your thoughts as to what is wrong with my set up!

Good work for the launch!

Products are well shown on the site. Are they too big? 

The contrast from a white background (the one showing all products) to a black background (when you click on a product photo) is a bit "shocking". I'd use another color than black, does not really fit with the initial branding when I first opened the site.

"Bamboo Tree Co is a female owned business that was founded by a Canadian Nurse and mom who strives to offer eco friendly, self care and home decor options for everyday life, enhancing home, health and the environment."

I think it would bring a little more "human" touch to the site and the business if we could see the team behind the idea somewhere 😉

Hi Ria!

I appreciate the simplicity of your site. Your products are easy to find, I know the purpose of why you sell those products AND I know that my purchase will contribute to you giving back. Let us know when you launch I would love to purchase a body scrub. 

I agree with Claude and would like to see the face behind the magic. It makes it more personable and trustworthy when you put a face to it. 

Otherwise, keep doing you thing sis! Wishing you an abundance in life and business.

Congratulations on your website. Exciting!

I like the clean layout. The minimalist look is very calming.

One area that might help the products stand out is how they are photographed. Try some different background colours. With the weather getting nice photograph the products in nature. Place it beside a stream. Use multiple tins instead of one.  Try 3 units together. Nature in the background. Change up the camera angle. 

Going outside will reinforce the connection with nature.

I'd also suggest getting a picture of someone using the product. Happy and relaxed.

Something I learned studying marketing in college, sell the sizzle, not the stake. You are selling an experience, not a product.

Hi! Love the simplicity! It looks very clean. Just a couple of suggestions. You have great labels! I might recommend the initial picture on the front page to show the label and then maybe the texture consistency when you click on the item. Also I would try to keep the colors the same if you can...going from clean white to black is a bit shocking. You want that beautiful clean fluidity to keep going! I would also suggest the initial front page pictures being just a bit smaller, but it looks great! Congratulations! Wishing you all the best!
