Thank you for reaching out to us, and we are happy to help clarify this for you. Even though you have a Square for Retail Plus subscription, it sounds like you might be accessing your account from the standard Square Dashboard or a different subscription type. The Unit Cost and Vendor Management tools are available only when you’re using Square for Retail Plus specifically. Here are somethings you can check:
Make sure you’re signed into the Square for Retail app or Dashboard (not the standard Square POS).
Go to Subscriptions in your Dashboard to confirm that Square for Retail Plus is active on the location you’re managing.
Once confirmed, you should have full access to Unit Cost, Vendor Management, and other advanced inventory features.

I am having the same issue. Retail Plus but cannot access Vendor or cost info for a single item. I have come to a work-around. Create a single variant of the product, but if you have 1,000+ items, that's a ton of time spending on making those "adjustments".
Another work-around is to select the item(s) form the product list and bulk edit. But you still don't get the full control as we used to have before this "upgrade" or do I have to upgrade to Plus Plus? (being sarcastic to a degree)
I have tried Chrome and Edge with the same results.
