Hello,
I have an iPad POS setup and when trying to connect a square terminal it does not come up as an option in hardware settings. It only offers ‘Connect a reader’.
I have done all the troubleshooting steps online and still nothing. I am beginning to think having the mPOP star printer/cash drawer is causing the issue? Would this be the case?
Note: I have connected a reader but ideally would like the terminal set up because I don’t want to be handing the iPad over every time a customer needs to enter their pin
Any help would be greatly appreciated

It sounds like you're trying to connect the Square Terminal via Square for Retail - at this time, the terminal can only be connected via the Standard Point of Sale app. If you're not able to connect the Terminal via the POS app, please let us know!
Thanks for the prompt reply @Arie . I have been trying to connect to the Square for retail app. I didn't even realise there was a Square POS app. Is the terminal going to link to Square for retail app in the future?
This would be a feature request at the moment, @Ideasmornington; we don't have a timeframe of if, or when this would become available as we find out at the same time you do. Hopefully we'll have the ability to connect the Terminal via Square for Retail, Restaurants, and Appointments in the future, too.
