Manually Key in Payment Amount/ Total for Items not in My Inventory
For a POS contactless transcation type. I would like to know if I can manually key in a payment amount for an item that hasn't been created in my Square inventory.
For example: a customer takes an item to the counter that hasn't been inventoried (could be old stock or something overlooked).
Would my staff be able to manually type the payment amount/ total in the mobile app to proceed with the sale?
Thank you.

Hey @Ravman,
Absolutely - from the POS app's checkout screen, you have the option to either choose an item from your item library, or simply enter a custom amount to charge on a keypad. You can easily switch between keypad view or item inventory view on the fly via the applicable buttons on the Checkout screen. Feel free to download the app to check it out 👍

Hi Seamus, I have Square Retail Plus which we use on a Square Register. There doesnt seem to a keypad option to do a custom amount. Am I missing something? Do I need to set up an item that has a custom variable amount? Thanks in advance
