Is it possible to edit item notes on transactions?

In fairness, I could've added the details prior to generating the payment request, but given the circumstances, is there any way to edit the "Item Note" after the transaction has been completed?

Once a transaction has been completed, there's no way to edit the Item Note, unfortunately.

I would also like to edit a payment NOTE after the event. We have users that make inappropriate notes, and others who forget to add a name to a membership payment. We then have issues with our membership data.

 

How can we elevate this as an item for software development?

While this isn’t something that’s currently available, I encourage you to visit our Ideate Board to check if there's an existing feature request for this. If so, please add your comments to support it, detailing how it would positively impact your business. If there isn't one already, feel free to create a new feature request and invite other sellers to share their thoughts and experiences.

There are a variety of factors that are taken into account for feature requests, including Seller interest and our development pipeline. By sharing your support on an existing feature request or creating your own, you encourage other Sellers to support it with their votes and comments, which highlights demand for the feature to our Product team.

In the meantime, you may want to look into the notes feature within the Customer Directory, which allows you to add timestamped notes to customers’ profiles and schedule reminders to revisit those notes in the future. While this doesn’t directly link a note to a specific transaction, it does allow you to keep a timestamped notes history on a customer’s profile that your team can refer back to at any time.


To add a note:

  1. Select a customer from your directory > click Add Note in the Notes section or from ••• at the bottom of the profile.
  2. Add your note to the field.
  3. If you’d like, set a reminder using the default times or by adding a custom date and time.
  4. Click Save.
