GST on refunds

Hello, when issuing a refund on an original card transaction that had GST on it, Square does not calculate the GST on the refund portion.  Does anyone know if there is a workaround for this or another way to issue a refund?

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community!

Unfortunately there's no alternate way to process a partial refund that will break down GST for the partial amount - though I can confirm that when issuing a partial refund, the proportion of GST allocated to the amount being refunded is also refunded. So a 50% refund would include 50% of the original GST amount refunded.

Hope this makes sense, and sorry to don't have an easier solution for displaying/calculating this amount on partial refunds!
