I've set up a contract to send when a client books for the first time, however, when I didn't have square appointments plus it wasn't showing up. Do I have to have appointments plus in order to send contracts automated with the booking confirmation email when a client books and pre-pays?

Great question, @Yourbodypilates!
You can automatically send contracts to customers using Square Appointments Free.
If you didn't initially see this option, itโs likely because you had to create a contract template and enable automated digital forms first.
If you now have the ability to send contracts automatically, it sounds like you've completed the following steps:
Step 1: Create a Contract Template
- Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and navigate to Payments > Contracts > Templates > Create a Template.
- Choose to create a new template from scratch or customise one based on a pre-existing Square standard template.
Step 2: Enable Automated Digital Forms
Once you've created a Contract Template and enabled automated digital forms, form links will be automatically included in appointment email and SMS notifications.
- Sign in to your online Square Dashboard and go to Payments > Appointments > Settings > Communications > Forms.
- Select Add a form to include a template for automatic sending.
- Decide whether you want forms sent to all customers or only to those who havenโt completed the form before. You can also specify whether this applies to all services or specific ones.
- Click Save.
Forms will now be delivered automatically to customers when they book, according to the rules you set. For any appointments created before completing these steps, a contract would not have been sent automatically.
I hope this information helps! If you have any other questions, please donโt hesitate to reach out. ๐
