Welcome, @Bushido! We're glad to have you with us. ๐Ÿ˜

You don't need any Square hardware to use Tap to Pay on your iPhone. Just ensure that your iPhone is compatible, and that you're using a compatible Square App, such as Square Point of SaleSquare AppointmentsSquare Invoices or Square for Retail

For instructions on getting started, please visit: Get started with Tap to Pay on iPhone.

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. ๐Ÿ™‚

Hi @Bushido, sorry for the delay getting back to you here!

To confirm, have you first enabled Tap to Pay within your Square POS app?

  1. From the navigation bar at the bottom of your screen, tap โ‰ก More > Settings > Account.

  2. Select Tap to Pay on iPhone, then toggle on Tap to Pay on iPhone.

  3. Verify the correct Apple ID is shown. If not, choose Use a Different Apple ID.

  4. Select Agree & Continue to toggle on Tap to Pay on iPhone.

Once you enable Tap to Pay on iPhone, the banner at the top of the screen will read 'โœ” Tap to Pay' and you will see Tap to Pay on iPhone listed under My hardware by going to โ‰ก More > Settings > Hardware.

I also recommend reviewing this article for common reasons why Tap to Pay may not be showing up as an option within the app.

Let me know how you go. ๐Ÿ™‚
