Can Square Terminal connect to a Public unsecured WIFI system.

Can someone please help. We already run the older Square through an ipad on the Public WIFI but I cant connect to the WIFI now - any help would be appreciated

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble getting Terminal connected to the internet.

Due to security requirements for self-contained card processing terminals in Australia, Square Terminal will unfortunately not connect to unsecured wifi networks. If possible, we recommend hot-spotting your mobile phone to Terminal as a way of processing payments if you don't have access to a secure wifi connection.
