Can I hide items without deleting them?

I have a number of items that I am not currently selling, but will probably sell in the future.  Can I hide them without deleting them?

If you're referring to Square Online items then yes you can - go to Items > Item Library page on your Square Online dashboard. Use the tick boxes to select the items you want to hide, then click on the “. . .” button and choose Mark as Hidden. - check out this article for more.

Thanks Seamus - but not online items, just items in Square Dashboard.  I want to remove them temporarily.  The only options are edit & duplicate

If you go into the Item then click the "Actions" button in the top right you can delete - this will permanently remove them though!

If you think you may stock the item again though, it's probably best to leave it there. What specific use case for this feature are you experiencing at the moment? Are things just getting a bit overcrowded to look at and scroll through?

Yes - overcrowding on the scroll down.

I think I'll create a new location and move the temporarily obsolete items to the new location.  I think that will solve it - and not give cashiers access to the location with the temporarily obsolete items

That's actually a really handy workaround that I'd not thought of!

If the goal is to prevent selling stuff you don't have then that's a great way of doing it.
