Hi,
I have a Squareonline shop that I only open once or twice a year to sell original artworks. I only have a few items for sale each time, and they sell out really fast.
I usually do this by advertising the sale time on my social media in advance, then clicking 'Publish' at the advertised time.
My problem is that no-one gets a chance to really look around the online shop before hand/work out what they can afford/read the terms and conditions etc, and it turns into a bit of a feeding frenzy!
Is there a way that I can have the shop visible so customers can browse in advance, but without the ability to buy or add items to baskets? Then turn it 'live' at the opening time?
Cheers!
Hi @oddEgg, you can publish your Online Store and disable Online order. This way, your Online Store is accessible for everyone to see the items but no order can be placed. When you are ready to accept orders, all you need to do is to enable Online Order.
To enable/disable Order Online, please navigate to your Square Dashboard > Online > Shared Settings > Checkout
