Square Dashboard - Items - Category selection

A simple request: When editing an item, in the category selection pop up, please can the categories be listed in alphabetical order? It's a bit maddening that they're not!

Thanks for your post on this. It’s perfectly understandable that you’d want your categories in alphabetical order. This is actually something you can do directly from your Dashboard. Just follow the steps below:

 

  1. From your Square Item Library, go to Categories.
  2. Click Rearrange.
  3. Click the up/down arrows to move your category to a new position.
  4. Click Done rearranging when finished.

Hi @Sineaid 

 

Thanks for your speedy reply.

I hadn't noticed the "Rearrange" button so thanks for that.

However, you can't drag your category to a new position as you suggest, you can only move a category up or down one position at a time. So you can rearrange, but it's quite tedious as you can imagine.

 

Can I make a feature request to add a "Sort alphabetically" button or to add proper dragging capability please?
