International shipping

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping to start shipping internationally soon as most of my social media following is outside the UK but I just wanted to know some techniques, like who you ship with and how you get the lowest cost and best service for the customer. Any tips feel free to leave them here so I can take a look 🙂

Hi Matt. I use Royal Mail for internal and international shipping. I use use the R M  app for tracking while in the U K and then switch to the relevant app for the destination country where available.

I use Royal Mail in the UK but it looks like it’s gonna cost me £10.20 to ship a packing tube out of the country, how do you make sure to get the best price?

Matt. Our business model is obviously different to yours but we give the customer the choice of tracked or untracked postage and Royal Mail is still quite competitive. The customer is paying so choose what they are comfortable with. There is also an International Economy service which is cheap but I think that goes by sea so could take a long time. I’ve just sent something to Switzerland and the recipient was charged a customs duty which I think may be new post Brexit!

I try to post everything ‘signed’ delivery so that I know it’s arrived but it’s ever so expensive, I’ll take a further look into my options
