Does having a free account sub domain slow down indexing?

I know you're probably fed up of hearing this from me but I have had my site published since 1st just and only 2 of its pages are indexed.

It's a long time and feel I'm losing out on potential customers.

To be fair, I really feel like quitting right now. it's pointless having a website if it can't be seen.

Is because I'm using a sub-domain?

do I need to ask google to index each page individually ?

I have asked this question before but it seems the right people didn't see it.

anyway. I'm hoping there's someone who can help,  I'm obviously not great with this kind of thing. is there anyone who tell me what I'm doing wrong please?

Thanks in advance

Hi @NicPort - thanks for your post.

Sorry to hear that you're frustrated with this process - launching a site is definitely not easy, I'll do my best to assist as much as I can here.

I'm re-sharing my response from another thread that we have where I checked your case with the Square Online team:

'They suggested that you work with Google to get the site indexed. Using Google tools like Webmaster will help. They confirmed that your site is indexed and can be located in search results. - In this case yes, you would need to check with them on each individual page.

However, if you are looking for a higher presence or to have your site reflect higher search queries related to site content (including the additional pages), that will require making some changes like upgrading to a custom domain (instead of a free subdomain) along with time, and traffic. - It was recommended by the Square Online team to upgrade if possible in order to boost site presence.

I understand that my responses may not be exactly what you are looking for, that is because we do not provide SEO support here, unfortunately. For more information on SEO for your specific website’s needs, we recommend consulting an SEO expert.

We do have resources available to help you set up SEO and grow your website traffic but anything beyond what's available in our support centre will need to be consulted with an expert.
