Hi all,
Does anyone know of a way to add a stock level to modifiers that are being used across several different items? It's for adding mixers to drinks in a bar, so I need it to link across different products whilst also being available on their own.
Any advice gratefully received!
@BexForeman tracking ingredients and adding stock amounts to modifiers is not possible with Square for Restaurants POS. You'll need to add them as individual items if you want to track.
Hi @JustinC, thank you - this is what I suspected. Do you know if there's another way to go about this i.e if I select a drink is there a way to link it to another in a way that would make sense on the order (e.g. gin & tonic)?
@BexForeman - i don't know of any workarounds at the moment. Maybe a couple of our Super Sellers that use Restaurants can chime in.
@JamesSandbar @Donnie-M @LLCafe @GoGoGuest can we pick your brains?
@JustinC @BexForeman I don't know of any work arounds either. The inventory functions are pretty limited in that regard.
@BexForeman There currently is not an inventory option for modifiers. There is a modifier sales report however. You could in theory do a simple spreadsheet, run the modifier sales report from your reports menu in the dashboard and plug in beginning on hand + purchases - usage = expected on hand. This is the old fashioned way of inventory. But if you just need to monitor for correct usage or ordering purposes (like how much you are using) then the report should get you what you need.
