Pride in Business Intention Statement

Welcome to Pride in Business!

This is a brand new group that's been a long time coming—as many of us at Square would love to hear from this community.

I wanted to kick things off by sharing the intent behind creating this new space. As discussions develop in the Seller Community, this group's purpose may evolve but—at this point in time—we hope that this group will provide:

• A place where LGBTQ+ sellers can support each other. This is a space where anyone identifying as LGBTQ+ and allies can come together and discuss life as a seller, business owner, Square employee or just in general.
  
  
• A business resource hub for LGBTQ+ folks. Share your stories, insights, and resources that have enabled you to find success in your business or career.
  
  
• A place to connect with LGBTQ+ Squares who are eager to align with fellow LGBTQ+ customers. By opening more connections with LGBTQ+ Square product and engineering team members, these engagements strive for a deeper understanding of our customers' needs as we iterate on services and build out products.

With that, I invite you to raise your questions, collaborate on business strategy, and discuss topics related to economic empowerment. @Sean and I are around, and we're eager to share your stories to ensure our teams hear what matters most to you, our customers.

Thanks for the intro, @Tom! I'm super excited for this group and to get to know y'all! I am one of the Global Leads for Square's LGBTQ+ employee resource group, Squeers. Our goal is to cultivate an inclusive environment where our LGBTQ+ employees feel empowered to be themselves, successful in their career at Square, and engaged in driving economic empowerment for our customers.
