why are some of my inventory items missing the variations?

some of the inventory items are missing their variations in the square for retail pos app but they show up in my square dashboard. it’s only a few items that are missing the variations, not all of them, so i’m super confused. i tried editing the variations and deleting them and starting over again but it made no difference. any help would be appreciated.
