If you enter an item and do not want it to show up, you have two options...  1. set up item settings to tell it to NOT  back a new item visible when entering it. You can make that a default.  However, if you are expecting it to be visible, then you have to make it visible, by selecting make visible.
Second option is the opposite, your setting default is probably set at make visible after entering.  If you like that default then you have to not make visible the item you are entering.

Not sure which version of Square you have, but just go into items, select the item, scroll down and make the item not visible to remove it from your web site.  I never delete an item...never know when I may bring it back in.  Just archive it, if you have that feature in the version you are running.  If you do not have that option, once you delete it now, I believe it deletes it from all platforms in your system since the library is on a server, a one stop shop for all your stuff.

if its your web site and not your online square web site, then yes, you will have to manage your own web site and the back end ecommerce(Word press or Woo commerce) which ever system you are using for your backend web site.  You will have to remove it manually from there.

What website platform are you using?

There is a third party app in the Square app store that is called Thrive (shopventory)

It allows you to manage all of your inventory there and sync everything between square and your website.

When sales are made on Square it reduces inventory on the website and when sales are made on the website it reduces inventory in square.

Additionally there is a WooCommerce Square plug-in if you are using WooCommerce and WordPress and it will also sync between square and your website.

Depending on what kind of website you are using, there are other options as well.

Let us know your website platform and we can give further guidance.
