I have lots of duplicate customers that I would like to merge. Each variation of a customer has a different address (this is the way I deliberately imported customers). When I try to merge, Square is only keeping one of the addresses. Is this a bug or is there another way to merge customers while maintaining all of the unique data?
Hey,@jga73- It's not a bug. The merging tool is behaving as expected. Your Customer Directory will identify potential duplicate profiles if two or more customers share the same email address and/or phone number. However, it seems like the system wants to merge your contacts by name but it will not allow you to fully complete the merge because our directory only has one field available for the address. You will have to manually make the changes by adding the address under notes or files if you wish. Take a look at this article for more details.
