I had a similar requirement with quickbooks and noticed that one of the square partner apps (Amaka) does this. It looks like it also does the same for Xero.. I ultimately decided to keep doing it manually (while i develop a script to do it) as I couldn't justify the cost as we only trade 2-3 days a week.
