inventory

IS anyone else finding it hard to use square now a days? I used to recommend everything Square to everyone. But after being shut down for several months, I come back to find it has changed and is no longer intuitive to use. Frustrating! 

I used to be able to download a current inventory list. I would them manipulate and sort things in Excel and up with a current inventory list sorted by categories. Our students would then count inventory and be able to compare what they counted to what Square said we have, Now it seems like I have to do it item by item. It's ridiculous. 

I have tried look for the info - but it leads you to a place where what they say to do is unavailable. 

Please help. This was a huge piece of what we were teaching our students

Hello,

From your Square Dashboard > Items > Item Library > Actions (Top Right) > Export Library.

That would export all of your items.

That is how I used to do the inventory .... but now there is no "Action" button.

You're in the Online Store Dashboard, you need to be in the Square Dashboard.

AHA! this is what I mean by it no longer being intuitive. I finally found it under TEAMS.

Should we use the square dashbord (not online store dashboard/square weebly) for uploading all of our “items and categories? Or do we have to do this in both places? Just seems redundant if it does not sync?

Hey @AlexandraScott! 🌸

This is a good question. You'll want to create and/or import your item library within the Items section of the Square Dashboard. After you've created your item library, you'll be able to then make those items available on your Square Online Store without having to recreate the items. Does that make sense? 

Let me know if not, as I know it can be confusing when you're starting to build your inventory and site.
